Welcome to InnovateImpact, the home of Project Covalent. This page explains how visitors may use the materials on this site, how we treat intellectual property, how we handle submissions and feedback, and how artificial intelligence tools may or may not be used in connection with this work.

InnovateImpact is designed as an open research and field-building platform. We want people to read, share, challenge, cite, and build on the ideas. At the same time, the original frameworks, language, graphics, research methods, signal concepts, taxonomies, and materials presented here represent significant intellectual work. These terms are intended to support responsible use while preserving the legal rights needed to continue developing the work.

By using this website, downloading materials, submitting comments, or participating in Project Covalent, you agree to these terms.

1. Purpose of this site
​

InnovateImpact develops research, frameworks, tools, and shared signal architecture to help investors and institutions make better decisions across risk, return, and impact.

Project Covalent is InnovateImpact’s active research initiative focused on predictive blended-return signals and cross-archetypal learning. Its purpose is to explore how different investors, institutions, and stakeholders can use shared intelligence while preserving their own objectives, mandates, and decision frameworks.

The site is provided for research, education, discussion, and field-building. It is not investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or investment product.

2. Ownership of materials
​

Unless otherwise stated, all original content on this site is owned by Holden Lee or used with permission.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Project Covalent materials;

  • essays, articles, white papers, briefs, slide decks, diagrams, graphics, and visual systems;

  • names, taglines, frameworks, concepts, research structures, and explanatory language;

  • predictive blended-return signal concepts, signal taxonomies, and signal-development methods;

  • cross-archetypal learning concepts, archetype descriptions, and related frameworks;

  • website copy, page structure, research prompts, design language, and downloadable materials.

 

All rights are reserved except for the limited permissions expressly described below.

3. What you may do
​

You may use the materials on this site for responsible non-commercial, educational, research, commentary, and field-building purposes, provided that you give clear attribution.

You may:

  • read, download, and share public materials for personal, educational, or internal discussion purposes;

  • quote short excerpts with attribution;

  • link to the website or specific public pages;

  • discuss, critique, or reference the ideas in articles, presentations, teaching materials, or research;

  • share the work with potential collaborators, funders, researchers, investors, policymakers, or practitioners;

4. What you may not do
​

You may not use this site or its materials in a way that misappropriates, misrepresents, or commercially exploits the work without permission.

You may not:

  • copy or republish substantial portions of the materials without written permission;

  • present InnovateImpact or Project Covalent materials as your own work;

  • remove attribution, copyright notices, source references, or disclaimers;

  • use Project Covalent frameworks, signal concepts, graphics, diagrams, or text as part of a commercial product, consulting service, investment product, data product, software platform, fund strategy, index, rating system, research product, or paid service without written permission;

  • imply that InnovateImpact, Project Covalent, or Holden Lee endorses your organization, product, research, investment strategy, or public position without written permission;

  • use the materials in a misleading, deceptive, unlawful, defamatory, or harmful way;

  • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract materials from this site for model training, dataset creation, competitive intelligence, resale, or automated redistribution.

5. Submissions, comments, and research contributions
​

InnovateImpact welcomes comments, critiques, signal suggestions, research ideas, case examples, introductions, and other contributions.

By submitting material to InnovateImpact or Project Covalent, you confirm that:

  • you have the right to share the material;

  • the material does not violate the rights of any third party;

  • the material does not include confidential, proprietary, personal, regulated, or restricted information unless clearly identified and separately agreed in writing;

  • your submission is not unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or harmful.

Unless we enter into a separate written agreement, submissions are treated as non-confidential.

​

You retain ownership of your pre-existing rights in materials you submit. However, by submitting materials, ideas, comments, or suggestions, you grant InnovateImpact and Holden Lee a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, summarize, analyze, incorporate, and build upon those submissions for research, educational, field-building, product-development, and related purposes.

This license allows InnovateImpact to learn from feedback and improve Project Covalent without creating uncertainty over whether later work was influenced by comments, suggestions, or ideas submitted by participants.

If you want to contribute material under different terms, or if you want your contribution treated as confidential or attribution-required, please contact us before submitting it.

6. Datasets, confidential information, and third-party rights
​

Please do not submit confidential, proprietary, regulated, personal, or third-party data unless we have a written agreement in place.

This includes, without limitation:

  • non-public investment data;

  • client or investor information;

  • personally identifiable information;

  • private financial information;

  • material non-public information;

  • licensed datasets;

  • third-party reports or research that you do not have permission to share;

  • data subject to contractual, regulatory, or confidentiality restrictions.

If Project Covalent engages in a research pilot involving datasets, confidential materials, or institutional partners, those materials should be governed by a separate written agreement covering confidentiality, permitted use, attribution, publication rights, data security, and intellectual property.

7. AI use policy
​

InnovateImpact may use artificial intelligence tools to support research, drafting, editing, design exploration, summarization, brainstorming, coding, visual prototyping, or analysis. AI tools are used as assistive tools, not as independent authors, inventors, or owners of the work.

​

InnovateImpact’s policy is that original Project Covalent materials should preserve meaningful human authorship, judgment, selection, arrangement, editing, and creative control.

​

Where AI tools are used, InnovateImpact aims to follow these principles:

  • Human direction: A human must direct the purpose, structure, judgment, and final expression of the work.

  • Human review: AI-assisted outputs should be reviewed, edited, and approved by a human before publication.

  • Human contribution record: For important publications, diagrams, graphics, research methods, or materials intended for copyright registration or commercial use, InnovateImpact should keep a reasonable record of human contributions, including prompts, drafts, edits, source materials, and final human revisions where appropriate.

  • No false authorship claims: AI tools should not be listed as authors, inventors, owners, employees, researchers, or legal creators.

  • Source discipline: AI-assisted work should not be treated as factually reliable without verification from appropriate sources.

  • Rights awareness: AI tools should not be used to knowingly copy, imitate, or reproduce protected third-party works without permission or legal basis.

  • Registration readiness: If a work containing AI-generated material is submitted for copyright registration, InnovateImpact should disclose AI-generated material as required and identify the human-authored elements being claimed.

 

InnovateImpact does not guarantee that every AI-assisted element will be eligible for copyright protection in every jurisdiction. Copyright, patent, database, moral-rights, and neighboring-rights treatment of AI-assisted and AI-generated works continues to evolve across jurisdictions.

8. Restrictions on AI training, scraping, and automated use
​

The materials on this site may not be used to train, fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, populate, or improve artificial intelligence models or machine-learning systems without written permission.

​

You may not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, automated agents, bulk-download tools, or similar technologies to collect, extract, copy, index, summarize, or repurpose site materials for:

  • AI model training or fine-tuning;

  • retrieval-augmented generation systems;

  • commercial datasets;

  • competitive products or services;

  • automated content generation;

  • resale, redistribution, or republication;

  • synthetic media, imitation, or derivative systems.

Search-engine indexing for ordinary public search visibility is permitted, provided it does not exceed standard search-engine behavior and respects applicable technical restrictions.

​

InnovateImpact reserves all rights to opt out of text and data mining, machine learning, model training, and other automated extraction uses to the fullest extent available under applicable law.

9. Copyright, attribution, and citation
​

If you quote, cite, discuss, or reference InnovateImpact or Project Covalent materials, please provide attribution.

Suggested citation format: Holden Lee, InnovateImpact | Project Covalent, “[Title of Material],” [URL], accessed [date].

Do not alter materials in a way that changes their meaning or suggests endorsement. Do not use excerpts out of context in a misleading way.

For permission to reproduce substantial portions of the work, adapt graphics, use Project Covalent materials in a commercial setting, or incorporate frameworks into a product or service, please contact InnovateImpact.

10. Trademarks, names, and brand elements
​

The names InnovateImpact, Project Covalent, and related taglines, logos, graphics, and brand elements may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or authorization without written permission. You may use the names InnovateImpact |Project Covalent solely to identify or discuss the work accurately and with attribution.

11. No investment, legal, tax, or professional advice

The materials on this site are for informational, research, educational, and discussion purposes only.

 

Nothing on this site should be understood as:

  • investment advice;

  • legal advice;

  • tax advice;

  • accounting advice;

  • fiduciary advice;

InnovateImpact is based in the United States, but its research may be read, discussed, or used by people in many jurisdictions.

Laws governing copyright, AI-generated materials, text and data mining, database rights, moral rights, privacy, confidentiality, investment advice, and professional responsibility vary by country and region. Users are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to them.

Where rights may differ across jurisdictions, InnovateImpact reserves all rights available under applicable law.

15. Changes to this policy

InnovateImpact may update these terms from time to time as the project develops, as laws change, or as new research, AI, data, or collaboration practices emerge.

Continued use of the site after updates means that you accept the revised terms.
